A Bicycle Orienteering event organised by the Bayside Kangaroos Orienteering Club on behalf of the Victorian Orienteering Association (Orienteering Victoria), and a round of the state series.
This is a navigation based event with competitor riding bicycles and using the supplied competition map to determine their route to visit a number of checkpoints.
Approximately 50 competitors covering age groups from 6 year olds to 80 years, both male and female.
Much of the event will take place east of the railway line in Parks Victoria managed land. The assembly, start and finish will be on Parks Victoria land.
All competitors must stay on mapped roads, tracks and paths, no cross country riding permitted.
The only event vehicle travelling on Hancocks land would be the organiser putting out any checkpoints.
