Ride Nation Gippsland (RNG)is the participation arm of the National cycling body AusCycling. RNG in a joint venture with Gippsland MTB Club is hosting several clinics across Gippsland to provide an opportunity during the school holidays for kids to learn from professional coaches and gain more confidence and learn new skills.

The clinics are aimed at kids between 6 years and 16 years from beginner to intermediate, each clinic will have 10 participants and two coaches. The participants will be put through skills stations, these are generally witches hats and cones, small ramps, the session plans are all developed by the education department of AusCycling, cycling’s National Governing Body.

The proposed location for the clinics to be conducted is the skills area carpark located at the Trail Head, as indicated on the attached map. At the end of each skills session the participants will be taken on a guided ride on an easy trail, this trail will be dependent on their skills levels.
A 3×3 marquee will be erected for participants to register for the clinics on the day, this marquee will also have the first aid kit, spare water and all emergency contact details for participants.

No movement of vehicles will be required other than for recovery of participant bikes or for first aid requirements.
