ASAR-K9 requests permission to conduct an additional training event at the HVP Plantation site in Macedon on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 November 2023 (areas as marked on map).
The event will be operational training and assessments for our search and rescue dogs. No temporary structures are required. We are expecting no more than 12 people to attend from our organisation, all of which are financial members and are covered by our public liability and volunteer accident insurance.
We are also expecting members of Victoria Police to attend this training session.
Members will be advised that there are no toilet facilities on site and will need to go offsite for these purposes.
The training involves placing helpers (“victims”) out and sending canine and handler teams to search for them. See Safe Working Method Statement for detailed analysis of risks and mitigation measures.
