11 participants and up to 4 Ride Stewards (ATHRA accredited) will ride a 30km circuit on Saturday 7 December 2019 and a 15km circuit on Sunday 8 December 2019 utilising a mix of DELWP Forestry tracks and HVP tracks as per the map provided.
Three support vehicles will transport water trailer (for watering horses), portaloo (for participants) and catering (morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea). If anyone needs to retire early, a horse float will be transported to the relevant site.
Ride Stewards will be carrying first aid kits and UHF radios (HVP channel 25) in the case of an emergency. There will be volunteers at the Shelley Airbase, where all are camping for the weekend, should there be an emergency.
Most of the rides are located on DELWP Forestry tracks. The HVP tracks proposed to be used include; Beetoomba Track, G1 Track, Edgars Road and Lucyvale Creek Track and the firebreak between Stevo’s Road and G1 Road.
This application was submitted in October 2019. However, HVP have no record of the previous online permit application, so I am submitting again.
