We are requesting the use of two separate HVP Plantation areas on three separate dates to conduct training exercises for our search and rescue dogs. The dates and locations are as follows:

• Kinglake on Saturday 10 September (area as marked on map)
• Buxton on Saturday 1 October (area number 415 on map)
• Kinglake on Saturday 26 November (area as marked on map)

The training involves placing helpers (“victims”) out and sending canine and handler teams to search for them. See Safe Working Method Statement for detailed analysis of risks and mitigation measures. We are expecting no more than 12 people to attend from our organisation, all of which are financial members and are covered by our public liability and volunteer accident insurance. Members will be advised that there are no toilet facilities on site and will need to go offsite for these purposes.
