Survey site reconnaisance Car based reconnaisance involving the area of all pipeline options in order to confirm survey locations and access arrangements
Bird surveys – shorebirds, waterbirds
– total of two nights surveys x 2
Up to three days of bird surveys in wetlands (focus on Lake Reeve and hinterdune system), larger lakes in study area and along the coast.
– Two zoologists survey each day, each with a 4WD
– Target Large freshwater wetlands and mudflats/saltmarsh
– Target potential roost sites along beaches including at high tide
Targeted southern toadlet/ Martin’s toadlet surveys One autumn survey with two surveys per site – including travel for two consultants across potential habitat = approx 10 sites (5 sites per night)
