Mystic Harvest Operations – Bright

HVP Plantations wish to advise of upcoming harvesting and haulage operations in the Mystic Basin of Bright, which will continue the lifecycle of pine plantations in this area.

Harvesting

Plantation areas in Mystic Basin, Bright will be closed for the operation.  These works will commence Early May till Mid June 2024.

  • The harvest worksite and a number of roads and mountain bike trails feeding into the worksite will be closed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the duration of the operation. For everyone’s safety, be aware of increased heavy vehicle traffic, machinery and closures within the plantation.
  • The current crop of trees is 25 years old, and ready to be converted into sawn timber and other building and paper products. Please visit our website hvp.com.au for further information about the plantation lifecycle and the range of HVP operations.

Transport

Our drivers will transport the plantation logs from the Bright worksite to HVP’s customers in Myrtleford, Wangaratta and Benalla.

  • Transport will commence a week after harvesting commences, and is expected to continue until mid June.
  • The haulage route will includes Mystic lane, Coronation Ave, Churchill Ave and Great Alpine Rd.

Safety

HVP takes safety seriously, please note the following:

  • Worksites are hazardous, and risks to people’s safety are not always obvious.
  • The worksites will be closed (to vehicles and pedestrians) for the duration of the operations. This includes when the crew is not present.
  • Be aware of increased heavy vehicle traffic and machinery.

Thank you for remaining out of closed areas, and following the directions of all signage and forest operators.
