ABOUT US
Melbourne-based HVP is one of Australia’s largest private timber plantation companies. The company is owned jointly by Australian and US superannuation and investment funds.

| HVP Plantations is one of the largest private plantation companies in Australia with plantations situated around Victoria. The total area of land managed by HVP equates to about 245,000 ha. About 162,000ha of this land is pine and eucalypt plantation. HVP employs over 700 staff and contractors. The company supplies over 3 million tonnes of wood annually to manufacturing industries. These manufacturing industries are primarily local, the main ones being structural sawn timber, fibre board products, pulp and paper. Through a joint venture business, Softwood Plantation Exporters (SPE) in Geelong, which processes plantation pine thinnings and sawmill residues for export, HVP also contributes to Australia’s export performance in expanding overseas markets. | HVP is the custodian of about 50,000 ha of native forest. As a matter of policy and practice HVP does not harvest native forest. All of this native forest is managed for conservation. HVP Plantations is more than just a source of timber for local industry. We are an employer, an economic engine for rural regions, a company committed to protecting the environment, and an organisation that strives to be a good neighbour committed to balancing and meeting the needs of all of our stakeholders. |
