Harvesting in the Griffen and Ritchie Road area of Bright
HVP Plantations wish to advise of a forest harvest operation in the Griffen Road area of Bright from July to September 2025.
Tree Harvesting
An area of HVP plantation around Griffen Road is currently planned for a thinning harvest operation, with it being planned for harvest in July – September 2025.
The area will be closed to ensure safe operations (see map).
The current crop of trees is ready to thinned and converted into sawn timber and other building and paper products.
Please visit our website www.hvp.com.au for further information about the plantation lifecycle and the range of HVP operations.
Safety
Safety is HVP’s highest priority. Please note the following:
• Roads are closed to all public access for the duration of operations (this includes when the crew is not present).
• Worksites are hazardous, and risks to people’s safety are not always obvious. Some of the dangers are falling trees, dislodged rocks and machines with very limited visibility.
• Be aware of increased heavy vehicle traffic and machinery in the area.
Thank you for following the directions of all signage and forest operators.
Community recreation
HVP recognise that many community members have an affinity with our forests, and enjoy walking, running and bike-riding activities throughout the year. Before entering any plantations, please apply for a Human Powered Pass. It is a condition of this Pass to remain outside of closed areas.
