HCV Assessment and Management Plan

HVP’s High Conservation Values (HCVs) Assessment and Management Plan outlines the framework for identifying, maintaining, and enhancing HCVs within and adjacent to HVP’s Forest Management Unit. The Plan has been developed in accordance with the FSC® (FSC-C014387) National Forest Stewardship Standard of Australia’s Principle 9 and Annex G: Framework for assessment, management and monitoring of HCVs.

The objectives of the plan are to:

  • describe the methodology used to identify and document HCVs
  • implement management measures to protect and enhance HCVs
  • engage stakeholders in the identification and management of HCVs
  • monitor the condition of HCVs to evaluate the effectiveness of management actions, and
  • review and adapt practices based on monitoring outcomes, new information, and stakeholder input.
