Fellas Track update

In September 2025, HVP announced that Fellas Track at Turtons Creek would no longer be managed for timber production and would be regenerated to native forest.

This decision was made following engagement with a range of stakeholders to work through how we can address external interests and concerns about the site.

12 months later, HVP has made significant progress in delivering on this commitment.

Following input from the community, HVP refined and finalised regeneration plans at Fellas Track before commencing site preparation and planting.

HVP contractors recently finished replanting at Fellas Track with native overstorey species to complement the diverse range of understorey species naturally regrowing across the site.

The replanting of Fellas Track aligns with HVP’s longstanding stewardship program between Turtons Creek Scenic Reserve and Falls, and our 2008 Cores and Links agreement with the Victorian Government which has returned 8,000 ha of land in the eastern Strzelecki Ranges to public ownership and protected an additional 15,000 ha of native vegetation within HVP’s estate.
