Harvest Operations within Mystic

HVP Plantations wishes to advise of forest harvest and haulage operations in the Mystic area of Bright.

The current crop of plantation trees is now ready to be harvested and converted into sawn timber, building products, and paper products.

Tree Harvesting

Harvesting will occur in two stages, with exclusion areas clearly shown on the attached map below:

  • Stage 1: Monday 6 October – Friday 19 December 2025
  • Stage 2: Tuesday 27 January 2026 – Early May 2026

For safety reasons, the harvest area will be closed to all public access for the duration of the works.

Log Transport

Logs will be transported from the site to HVP customers in Myrtleford, Wangaratta, Benalla, and regional NSW. Haulage will begin during harvesting and may continue until May 2026.

Our professional drivers are committed to safely sharing the road with the community. Trucks are GPS-monitored for speed and driving standards. Please be aware that trucks will travel at safe, steady speeds. For your safety, we strongly advise against overtaking trucks in the local neighbourhood.

Safety

Safety is HVP’s highest priority. Please note:

  • Forest work areas are closed to all public access during operations, including times when crews are not present.
  • Worksites are hazardous, with risks that may not be immediately obvious (e.g. falling trees, dislodged rocks, machinery with limited visibility).
  • Expect increased heavy vehicle and machinery activity in the area.
  • Please follow all on-site signage and directions from forest operators.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding while this important work takes place.
